A garlic lemon butter sauce sounds sensational if paired with a simple protein, or even pasta. Today’s recipe will help you make a mean one, that’s also easy and quick to prepare.
What to expect: a lemon and garlicky scented sauce that has the creaminess you know and love, and is also aromatic and flavourful. Your beef, chicken, fish or pasta bite will taste heavenly with this sauce on top.
This sauce is really simple to make, and only requires few ingredients. These are:
Our recipe also includes Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil. We are using this tasty Belmorso EVOO.
Now that you know what you need, let me tell you how to make it.
Step 1
You have 2 options. You can either use fresh garlic or roasted garlic. The first will give you a garlic lemon butter sauce that’s fresh but comes with a few pieces. The second will give you a more intense smoky garlic lemon butter sauce that’s extra creamy. You decide which one to try first. For the first you’ll need to peel and mince the garlic, for the second you’ll need to roast a head of garlic for around 50 minutes.
Step 2
Add your raw garlic to the pan with a little Belmorso EVOO. Let it sauté, but make sure it doesn’t burn.
Step 3
Then add the butter to melt.
Step 4
Add the lemon juice, making sure you are cooking over low heat.
Step 5
Season, and add the parsley (optional).
For the roasted version: simply squeeze your roasted head of garlic onto the melted butter, and continue from that step.
To make your garlic lemon butter sauce thicker, you can try melting a little corn flour into your butter. To make it even ticker leave the sauce to rest. The longer it rests, the thicker it gets.
Don’t overdo it with the amount of flour you put otherwise you’ll get lots of grooms and you’ll also lose some of that intense flavour.
And now.., here’s our recipe.
As per usual, feel free to print the recipe card out and take it with you to the kitchen, or use your tablet or mobile to follow the recipe while you gather the ingredients and make it.
