Either way, here’s a cake to try baking this year.
Zebra Cake Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups white or brown sugar (400 gr)
- 1 cup Belmorso EVOO (240 ml)
- 1 cup water (240 ml)
- 4 cups flour 00 (500 gr)
- 1 tbsp baking mix
- 3 tbsp cacao powder
- 2 tbsp water
Equipment:
- Electric mixer
- Flour/sugar sifter
- Baking dish and parchment paper

How To Make It
- Mix the eggs and the sugar in a large bowl. Use the electric hand mixer to combine.
- Add the water, the EVOO, the flour, and the baking mix. Mix using the mixer.
- Keep half of that mixture into that bowl, and add the rest to another bowl.
- Add the cacao powder only in one bowl.
- Take your baking dish and line the bottom.
- Take two clean tablespoons, and use one for each batter.
- Add two tablespoons of the chocolate batter, and then two tablespoons of the white batter, every time adding the batter in the middle of the previous one.
- It’s like you are creating a circle of batter each time, and then adding the next colored batter in the middle of that circle.
- If you keep going until you use both batters you will get the zebra cake design.
- Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes.
- When ready, take it out and feel free to dust with powdered sugar.
